This is a one-of-a-kind unique silver gelatin print made by me at home with an optical enlarger and photographic chemistry in a darkroom.

Each print is slightly different as they are handmade by placing a 4×5” glass plate negative directly onto photosensitive paper and exposing light through it before chemically developing it.

It is normal to expect some dust spots to appear through the optical printing process, and slight curvature of the paper which is normal with archival fibre-based paper after drying. This will have no affect on the matting and framing of the print.

Due to the nature of the printing process in a darkroom, I have opted for open editions whereby the prints are naturally limited by the durability of the glass plate negative, the artist’s desire to print it, and the lifespan of the artist.

Each print is sequentially numbered and sold from print #1 onwards, signed on the rear in pencil with the name, date, edition, and artist’s signature. Also supplied is a signed certificate of authenticity with more details of the artwork.

Note: this sale is for an unframed print and not a framed print as seen in the mockups to display the print size in a room.

Smaller prints are shipped in an archival clear sleeve with acid-free backing board within a rigid cardboard mailer. Large prints over 30×40cm / 12×16” are shipped in a heavy duty art grade mailing tube wrapped in tissue paper.
