Artist’s statement:

“This photograph was made in the home of Sarah (50) and Dylan (7) only five months after the sudden passing of their late husband and father, Norman. The apartment where I temporarily called home to help support them overlooks the ocean in Maroubra. I created this image using a bedside lamp held in my hand and a subtle front swing. Norman was my GP who helped assist me with lifesaving medication through suicidal depression. Sarah, an ex-sex worker, dominatrix, and lifelong photographic artist is a peer and champion of mine since the beginning of my photographic journey back in 2015.”
